About Us Founded in 1986 as a full service electrical company servicing greater Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, RALCO has 60+ employees and our 14+ vehicles covering the New England area on a daily basis, we feel that we are prepared to service all of your electrical, electro-mechanical and generator needs. Today RALCO services companies throughout the Northeast including Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, the Carolinas along with countries like Canada and Puerto Rico.
With an initial emphasis on emergency service and electrical contracting, the company grew rapidly and expanded its customer base to include large commercial and industrial companies with significant and diverse electrical needs. During this time we have also diversified and enhanced our scope of services and in-house capabilities. As this area of the company grew, it became evident that there was a need to provide long and short term maintenance programs to our larger customers. This specialized program provides on-site maintenance on-call 7 days a week. For many heavy commercial and industrial users, this provides them with the security they need to know that equipment failures will not jeopardize plant security.
As the result of the growing demand for the repair of existing motors, RALCO formally created its industry leading MOTOR SHOP in 1990. With a large on-hand parts inventory second to none and specialized equipment, RALCO can rewind motors up to 500 H.P., offer full machine shop services, provide customized Metal Spraying, on-site Dynamic Balancing, and perform Motor and Pump alignments. Beginning in 1994, we expanded our GENERATOR SERVICE DEPARTMENT to include sales and maintenance. We offer commercial and home stand-by, recreational, and portable units as part of our menu of available products. Our popular service continues to broaden our marketbase. Early growth and development of the company occurred serving such specialized industries as the textile and wire companies, though recent clients include municipalities, hospitals, nursing homes, and educational institutions. Coupled with 24/7 emergency service and a 10-minute call back response time to any emergency call, licensing in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire and a trained staff of certified and licensed technicians, RALCO is able to provide every electrical customer with prompt, professional and reliable service.
